Yes, you're right about the 7 day rule which needs to be edited to account for how applications are answered now. We go through the applications at one time and, regardless of how long an application is up, if we feel we are ready to make a decision on them we will. This is what we did in this case.

Feel free to reach out to me privately if your activity continues to be brought up in conversations. As others have stated, you do not owe anyone an explanation here but I certainly appreciate you letting us know. While I know you're not resigning, I do wish you the best and am rooting for you and your family.
