  7. AetherNetwork Staff Application In-Game Name (List ALL variations, if accepted your Forum/Discord name will be changed to your most used one): [NAMES] AN FirePhox ( most recent), FirePhox (used for a long time) Age: [AGE] 23 Steam ID: [https://steamid.io/] STEAM_0:1:119136385 Discord Tag: [DISCORD TAG]: FirePhox#7115 Total Playtime (48 hours/2 days REQUIRED): [!time in-game] 1 week 4 days 18 hours 55 Timezone: [TIMEZONE] EST (Eastern Standard Time) Steam Profile: [STEAM PROFILE LINK] https://steamcommunity.com/id/FirePhox/ Times you're most active (If you have a unpredictable schedule let us know): [TIMES - SPECIFY AM/PM] The times I' am most active is usually at night eastern standard time (around 9PM) through early mornings (around 8AM to 10AM). On occasion, I can be on during the day (Noon to 6PM), it depends on my work schedule. How can you contribute to Aether?: I can contribute to Aether by providing the best experience for both staff members and the community. I know I can be a great addition to the staff team because I can resolve issues quickly, efficiently, and fairly. I have more than enough hours on the server to be qualified as "active" and with that being said, I am very active and motivated to keep the community safe and fun for everyone. I am passionate to learn from higher-ups and to keep up to date on how to handle situations. I know how to keep calm under tight situations and keep my emotions out of the conflict. In addition, I possess 3 monitors so I am able to have the rules on my second monitor and Discord on my 3rd for quick and easy access for DMs, tickets, etc. Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible?: Yes Are you willing to listen to any Staff member guide you as a Staff, even if you feel you don't need to?: Yes Are you certain you will be able to staff for several hours a week?: Yes DarkRP Rule Questions Raids can last how long?: Raids can last at a maximum time limit of 10 minutes. If a player in your party dies whilst raiding, how long do they have to wait to come back and raid the same base again?: If a player in my party dies while raiding, they will have to wait a raid timer of 30 minutes before returning to the same base to raid it again. What initiates a raid?: The second a player as sent /advert raid, a raid has initiated. If no raiding tool is being used can the player steal the item from a base without an advert?: If no raiding tool is being used, the player can steal the item from a base without an advert, but only if they are job that allows them to steal and do not use any tools such as breach juice. Give an example of a valid raid advert (type it as you'd type it in-game): An example of a valid raid advert would be "/advert raid" without the quotes. If the owner of the base is standing outside on their base entrances sidewalk as you're about to raid but haven't announced a raid yet, can you kill them?: The raider must do /advert raid before entering any type of combat for a raid. In other words, it is not allowed to kill the owner of the base before doing a /advert raid. However, if they are on the base entrances sidewalk after the /advert raid, the raider may kill the owner. If you get arrested mid-raid can you return after your arrest?: Once arrested mid-raid, the roleplay is ended between you and the person who arrested. Returning after you were arrested or interacting with the person who arrested you would mean you broke NLR. You need to wait for the raid timer to finish or for the raid to be adverted over. If you get RDM'd are you allowed to kill the RDMer back without repercussions?: You are not allowed to RDM. If there is an RDMer, you should get a short video of it and report it in-game by typing @ <I was RDM'ed>. If there are no staff online at that time, you should report the rule breaker on the forums with a short and clear video proof. A player punches somebody unprovoked and runs away, the player who got punched calls a sit - what punishment would you give the instigator?: The punishment I would give would be based on how many previous warnings the rule breaker has. Assuming this is their first rule break, I would ask them why they RDMed then give them a verbal warning not to repeat the action and explain to them why RDM is not allowed. List all default Laws of The Land: - Raiding is illegal. - Entities scannable by the contraband scanner are always illegal. - Harming other players is illegal unless you are defending your base. - Shooting dangerous weapons in public is illegal. - Laws must be enforced with AOS instead of KOS unless the Police Officers life is in danger or the player is wanted. - Non-default Laws must be things that players have to go out of their way to do. - Laws that are seen as baiting kills or arrests are disallowed. - The Mayor can choose to make dangerous weapons legal or illegal when owned/held but no other weapon-based laws. How many bases can you own per party?: The maximum amount of bases you can own per party is 2. A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: First, I would freeze them to make sure they don't run away. If they're mic spamming I would ask them to kindly calm down and explain what the problem is. If they are ignoring what I'm saying to them, I would give them a gag and ask again to calm down. If the sit goes nowhere I would resolve it by giving them warning and a temporary gag/mute. Can you punish a player for intentionally ruining others time, even if they say it's out of fun?: Yes, you can punish a player for intentionally ruining the experience for other players. Regardless if it was a joke or not, it is recognized as NITRP (No intent to role play). Give an example of a Staff abusing their powers and how you would handle it: A staff member was freezing players for no valid reason. The way I would handle this is I would get video proof of the staff member abusing and report it to a higher-up. Afterwards, I would confront the staff member and ask why they were abusing. I would also get video proof of their response. A Mayor enabled a lockdown without reason and is refusing to turn it off, how do you resolve this?: I would ask why they would want the lockdown on for so long and explain that what they are doing may ruin the experience for other players such as police because they need access to go in and out of the PD. It would be annoying for them to have to unlock the doors multiple times. I would ask them politely to turn it off, if they don't listen I would verbally warn them. Extra Comments: I would like to suggest a "raid timer" UI on the screen similar to the "NLR" timer so new players know when they can raid again. I feel as this improvement would benefit the community by preventing as much confusion on when whether or not people can raid again or not. I had to fix a typo in the extra comments.
