If a player in your party dies whilst raiding, how long do they have to wait to come back and raid the same base again?: Since the Raid Cooldown is shared across all party members, it lasts 30 minutes are per usual What initiates a raid?: The raid starts the exact moment the raider adverts /advert raid in microphone distance or inside of the base the they chose to raid. If no raiding tool is being used can the player steal the item from a base without an advert?: Yes, you do not need to advert it and the raid cooldown wont apply either. Give an example of a valid raid advert (type it as you'd type it in-game): /advert PD RAID If the owner of the base is standing outside on their base entrances sidewalk as you're about to raid but haven't announced a raid yet, can you kill them?: No, only after he adverts the raid. If he does kill him before adverting, it will be considered RDM. If you get arrested mid-raid can you return after your arrest?: No, since you left the base that you raided. Once the 30 minutes have passed, you can raid the same base again. If you get RDM'd are you allowed to kill the RDMer back without repercussions?: No, that would be considered RevengeRDM which is equally as bad as a regular RDM. A player punches somebody unprovoked and runs away, the player who got punched calls a sit - what punishment would you give the instigator?: If the person has done it once and only once, with not warns in recent history in the same regard, I would only give them a verbal warning; since no one died or lost anything. A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: This can be situational. For example if the player in question is mic-spamming or spamming in chat, I can gag and mute them. After doing so I grab and freeze them in place and explain to them, what they have done wrong and what is going to happen to them. Or if the player in question is going around punching/harming people for no apperant reason, even after a sit just concluded for that matter, I would warn and jail them, so they can read the rules while jailed. Can you punish a player for intentionally ruining others time, even if they say it's out of fun?: While having fun is the primary goal of the server, ruining other peoples fun on purpose in the proccess, by targeting them for example, is a no-go. In short, yes, though it does heavily depend on the situation to cast a fair judgement. Give an example of a Staff abusing their powers and how you would handle it: If for example a fresh moderator is abusing their powers by physgun'ing players around, without the players wanting that, I would first tell the staff in question to stop. If he doesn't listen and continues to do it, I will immediatly tell a Higher Up about it. Once the Higher Ups knows, they will handle and resolve the situation. A player is excessively RDMing, how would you intervene/stop them from continuing and what punishment would you give?: First, I teleport them to me in adminland and freeze them right after. (To avoid being killed) Then I ask them why they are doing that. Then I warn and ban them accordingly. [Example: MRDM(RDMx3) 3d ban] A Mayor enabled a lockdown without reason and is refusing to turn it off, how do you resolve this?: Teleport him and tell him to disable lockdown. If we take, for example, a staff no clipping through base doors during a raid: I would take part of the clip where the action was done, then send it to a higher rank then me telling them what happened and who it was. A player is excessively RDMing, how would you intervene/stop them from continuing and what punishment would you give?: I would call a sit with the player, the explain that MRDM is very much against the rules. If the player tries to shoot, I would freeze them. If this is their first MRDM case, I would ban for 3 days (the first punishment tier for mass RDM). If the player does not have a valid reason in why he did a lockdown, then I would tell him to stop the lockdown and next time to do it for a valid reason. If I was in a situation where the player is mic spamming I would gag them explain to them why I gagging them figure out the situation and punish properly. You see another staff member abusing their power (Give an example of a staff abusing and how you would handle it/who you would contact): I would talk to the player and try to tell them that there not supposed to do that with their power if they don't stop I would send my recording to someone who outranks them may it be admin and I would make a report against the staff member. How do you determine if a player is breaking any of these?): A player RDMing(Random Death Match)killing a player with no reasoning, how I would deal with the situation I would look at damage logs to see if any of these RDMs were justified and I would ask for video proof if there was any if they are in fact RDM I would punish appropriately. If a player is RDAing/(Random Arrest)arresting people without reasoning, I would ask why and I would ask for video proof if there was any and then punish appropriately. if a player is breaking NLR I would check their last death location then I would check how longs it's been since they died and I would ask for video proof if there was any, I would tell them exactly what is wrong with breaking NLR, and then punish appropriately.

I would then message Jouaram on discord with evidence of the abuse. Examples of staff abuse include but are not limited to. Using Noclip to go inside a base and steal money from printers, using god mode during a raid, and teleporting other players inside someone's base. A player is excessively RDMing/RDAing and breaking NLR (What is RDM/RDA and NLR? How do you determine if a player is breaking any of these?):RDM Random Death Match Killing someone without a valid rp reason. I can determine if it was rdm or not by checking if they shot at someone first, checking if they were killed for a hit, and checking if they were warned to stop following someone. RDA Random Arrest is arresting someone without a valid rp reason. I can determine if it was rda or not by checking damage logs to see if they killed someone nearby and checking if they were wanted. NLR New Life Rule is a rule stating that when you are killed you can not go back to that location for 3 minutes and the rp scenario that you and whoever killed you were in ends, there are 2 exceptions to this rule, 1 You can come back to where you were killed if you are 100% sure that you were rdmed, 2 If you were killed in a raid you can come back after 3 minutes and continue defending your base, I can determine if nlr was broken by checking the locations of the player being accused of breaking nlr. I have over 1.1k hours on Garry's Mod so I know how to play the game and get a long with others. I have no beef with anyone on the server and I've been pretty friendly so far. What is RDM?: Random Death Match, when someone just goes up to you and shoot you without a proper reason at all, that is RDM. Raids can last how long?: Raids can last to at least 10 minutes. What initiates a raid?: When you advert a raid in the chat logs. If the owner of the base is standing outside as you're about to raid, can you kill them?: If they are raiding someone's base and the owner is very close or trying to shoot them from a far, you may kill them. Rule breakers and people that want to ruin that fun do frustrate me and I'm sure others too which is why I'd like to help with that aspect of Aether and help keep everything running smoothly, in addition to this I'll be active at times where most of you should be sleeping! Luckily for the ones who aren't, I could in theory be there to help if needed 😄 I've been considering the benefits of more events, maybe on a smaller scale than server wide events, I have plenty of ideas and would be happy to set some focus towards that if in a staff position, so that all of you can get more goodies and take part in some cool "minigames" or something like that. What is RDM?: RDM is an abbreviation of the term "random deathmatch" which is used to desribe a scenario where a player decides to kill another player with no prior roleplay reason or intent. What is NLR?: NLR is an abbreviation for the term "new life rule" simply meaning, when you die you'll forget everything in your previous life including where you died and how. (In most cases) On this server, from my understanding it's more lenient and only limits you from returning to your death location for 2 minutes. What is RDA?: RDA is an abbreviation for the term "Random arresting" this is specific to police/cop roles, where a player will go around putting out warrants/arresting people for no reason and no roleplay intent. Staff commands should only be used when?: Staff commands should generally only be used to deal with situations where rules have been broken or you're helping players with any problems, in a sit or otherwise. (Also investigating any claims of rules being broken) Example Scenarios A new player is asking for help relating to game-play, how do you make sure they get the help they need?: I would ask the player if they had any specific questions about features or mechanics on the server, offering them advice on how to get started with perms, money making, jobs and stuff like that. Links to any resources they might need including the discord and forums and If I was feeling extra nice I might even offer them a quick tour of the map for some important locations and NPCs. A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: If a player is un-cooperative during a sit, I would establish whether any rules had been broken using logs and the complaints given to me, take any necessary steps to control the rule breaker, muting, freezing or jailing ect if needed, while I can come to a conclusion based on the rules, punishment guidelines and my own judgement. If needed, punishments would be handed out and then I would return myself and both parties, if the dude isn't already banned or something and I'd be on with my day. Extra Comments: 😄
