NEW Basing Rules:

  1. You cannot force a raider to turn more than 9 times with props. 
    • This includes every turn that is created by your props, if the world walls/doors make the player turn they do not count towards the 9 turns. 
    • This only counts turns that you HAVE to make to gain entry to the base, if the player decides to turn on their own that does not count. 
    • If you are uncertain whether your base has more than 9 turns or not, stand at the start of the base walk in and go keypad to keypad, every turn that is forced by props counts towards the 9 until you're fully inside of the base.
    • Bases that have more than 9 turns are considered zigzag bases. 
  2. All areas of your base must be able to fit 2 players side by side. 
    • This cannot be pixel perfect, the players must be able to walk past each-other during combat.

NEW Basic Rules:

  1. Any NSFW jokes/statements/builds should be satire and not offensive, Staff may punish for NSFW if it is deemed excessively inappropriate. 
    • This means no nudity, no ERP, no sexual gestures/actions/words aimed at other people.
    • Builds made from props are usually okay as long as they're contained within your allocated basing area.

NEW Basing Rules:

  1. Raiders must be able to shoot back at you from wherever you shoot at them from (No feet shooters).
    • Grenades can be used without the raider being able to see you, but when shooting any gun or even RPG you must be visible to the raiders.

Re-clarified this rule as it still left uncertainty's specifically about the Cerberus.

NEW Purge Rules

  1. During the purge you can kill everyone and anyone no matter your relation to them within RP. 
  2. NLR does not exist during the Purge. 
  3. Raid timer does still exist during the purge and you cannot false raid during the purge. 
    • You can still raid during the purge but you must follow the usual raiding rules. 
  4. All other rules are still in effect during the Purge.

Almost all rule sections have been tweaked or modified in some way, be sure to re-read the rules before playing! (Any newly added rules will be punished leniently for the first few days)
 

Main rule changes to note:

  • Your raid timer now starts on your raid advert and lasts for 30 minutes instead of lasting 20 minutes after the 10 minute raid limit. (Easier to log, look for). 
  • You cannot abuse the spawn area during the purge to dip in and out giving yourself an upper hand in pvp/keeping your bounty. 
  • Bases must now be able to have a player jump over a crouched player at all times in the base (loosely enforced previously as 'must be able to FULLY jump in a base')
  • You can now kidnap the same player without waiting an hour as long as your handcuffs are off cooldown.

NEW General Building Rules

  • To create a base with raidables you must own the front door(s), if there is no ownable door and no text-screen specifying otherwise then you cannot base there.
    • You can have your raidables in public but if you choose to do so you cannot defend them (avoids baiting).

NEW Basic Rules

  • Using the /demote command is disallowed when Staff are online, try creating a sit with @ and wait 10-15 minutes before going through with this route. 
    • When no Staff are online or responding to sits you are free to use this command to demote players if you have proof of their rule-breaking (The demote must counter-act their rule-breaking such as demoting a cop who is MRDAing).

NEW General Building Rules

  • Lamps and lights placed cannot impact areas outside of your base/build, any lights that appear excessive or intrusive may be removed at Staff's discretion.

Changed laws to fit better with in-game laws of the land.

These Laws are active 24/7 with or without a Mayor and cannot be changed/modified.

The Police Department does not have to follow laws related to shooting, harming and raiding when enforcing laws. 

  1. Raiding is illegal.
  2. Entities scannable by the contraband scanner are always illegal.
  3. Harming other players is illegal unless you are defending your base. 
  4. Shooting dangerous weapons in public is illegal.
  5. Laws must be enforced with AOS instead of KOS unless the Police Officers life is in danger or the player is wanted.
  6. Non-default Laws must be things that players have to go out of their way to do. 
  7. Laws that are seen as baiting kills or arrests are disallowed.
  8. The Mayor can choose to make dangerous weapons legal or illegal when owned/held but no other weapon-based laws.

Changed KOS signs so that you must have plain and simple 'KOS PAST SIGN' and nothing else, this way players always know the risks when entering and there are no opinionated factors in if the KOS sign rules were broken or not, instead past the KOS sign = dead if needed. 

Old

  1. KOS signs cannot be placed on sidewalks. 
    • KOS signs must be clear, visible - no questions asked.
    • KOS signs must be a MINIMUM of 75 text size with an English font.
    • KOS reasons must be either no specific reason with a plain 'KOS PAST SIGN' or life/base threatening reasons such as 'Weapons OUT = KOS' or 'Raid Tools OUT = KOS' or 'Trespassing = KOS' but things such as 'KOS if annoying' or 'KOS if speaking' are just used to bait kills and are not allowed.
    • If you do not state a KOS reason and just have 'KOS PAST SIGN' you let the player know the risks before entering which is better than specific reasons. 
    • The KOS signs are not enforced until the player passes the sign. 

New

NEW General Building Rules

  • Using single-player to create dupes that are not possible to be created in the server and importing them may lead to them being removed by staff at their own discretion, depending on the build you may also be punished for prop minge.
    • An example of this is using single player to scale large props and then duping them into the server.

NEW Police Department Rules

  • You cannot allow raidables to be placed and used in the PD, if you have knowledge of raidables you must try to destroy/raid stick them otherwise it is seen as job abuse.
  • You cannot join parties with and defend any non-pd players.

    • No ear-rape or excessively loud noises under any circumstances.
    • A stationary area for DJs must not be within microphone distance of bases that haven't given permission to the DJ.

  1. Raiders/Defenders must be able to damage you back with gunfire from wherever you damage them from.
    • Grenades can be used without the raider being able to see you, but when shooting any gun or even RPG you must be damage-able by the raiders/defenders by gunfire.
    • This includes the Cerberus alt-fire and any other similar weapons.
    • Getting good angles with guns doesn't mean you aren't shootable, this strictly applies to impossible to shoot positions such as damaging through walls/map. 

This rule clarifies that you cannot use any weapon or item to damage players through walls/in glitchy ways, this was meant to be enforced this way already but had some tricky wording.

  1. RP-only bases do not need to follow the General Building or Basing rules. RP-only bases must be flagged with an RP-Only sign visible on it and have no raidables inside.

NEW Mayor Rules

  1. You cannot make laws that are impossible to prove were broken through logs, this includes things such as speech-based laws, visual-based laws - an example would be 'Profanity = AOS' as it can't be proven in logs it cannot be a law, another example would be 'Players pointing in certain directions = AOS'. 
    • If you are uncertain on if something is logged/allowed as a law don't hesitate to ask in Discord or @ chat.

  1. You cannot utilize breakable or map props in ways that slows down raiders.
    • A map prop is something that spawns in the map automatically, an example of this is the plant pots inside of the Bank.

NEW Raiding Rules

  1. Once a raid has been initiated both the raiders and base members must not use their toolgun/physgun/spawn props until the raid has concluded.
    • Members of the base which is being raided cannot rejoin or leave until the raid has concluded.
