  • Times you're most active (If you have a unpredictable schedule let us know): My schedule is pretty much unpredictable as of now. As of now, I will be able to make a lot of time, but there will be times where I need to focus on myself which includes work, vacation, and/or trying to get the job I worked very hard for. Recently, had a family member pass away which explains the time I was out for a few days around 9/25-9/26.

General Questions

  • How can you contribute to Aether?: I can provide moderation in times where there could be nobody else online to help out. I look forward to training others with the necessary skills it would take to moderate the server. I want to get to know the staff team more because out of all the servers I have played, this staff team is the most unbiased, respectable, outstanding staff team I have seen as of yet. I definitely made some mistakes on my last few staff applications but I own up to my mistakes and I become a better person as a result of them.
  • Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible?: Yes
  • Are you willing to listen to any Staff member guide you as a Staff, even if you feel you don't need to?: Yes, even if I, for some reason I am unaware of, don't respect them as a person, I have to respect them as my higher-up or as another staff member on the team.
  • Are you certain you will be able to staff for several hours a week?: Yes

DarkRP Rule Questions

  • Raids can last how long?: 10 minutes after a /advert
  • If a player in your party dies whilst raiding, how long do they have to wait to come back and raid the same base again?: 30 minutes.
  • What initiates a raid?: Advertising it using /advert raid or using the police scanner tool to create the automatic advert if it detects any illegal raidable items that automatically warrants the player.
  • If no raiding tool is being used can the player steal the item from a base without an advert?: It depends on what job you are playing as (if it says you can steal or not). They are allowed to steal without adverting as long as they didn't use raid tools to get where the raidables are.
  • Give an example of a valid raid advert (type it as you'd type it in-game): /advert Raid, /advert raid assist, /advert pd raid, /advert pd raid assist, /advert bank raid, /advert bank raid assist. 
  • If the owner of the base is standing outside on their base entrances sidewalk as you're about to raid but haven't announced a raid yet, can you kill them?: No, you haven't announced your intentions at this moment, therefore you aren't allowing them to react to what you're about to do. You also have no reason to kill them as of yet as it would be considered RDM since you haven't advertised your raid yet.
  • If you get arrested mid-raid can you return after your arrest?: No, because the RP scenario between you and that cop ended entirely. You now MUST wait the 30 minute timer.
  • If you get RDM'd are you allowed to kill the RDMer back without repercussions?: No, you can absolutely expect repercussions for killing anybody for no reason even if it was someone who initiated the deathmatch onto you, this action is called revenge RDM and is definitely able to be punishable.
  • A player punches somebody unprovoked and runs away, the player who got punched calls a sit - what punishment would you give the instigator?: If it's a first time offence I would verbally warn them, if it's a multiple offence, I would refer to the staff handbook if I have any questions on what the next step should be for this person. There is also the option where if the player who got punched does not want to have the person punished, it can be considered resolved in sit (RIS). If they want the player punished, I could warn them for RDM, minge, NITRP. I would specify the issue in the warn by typing punching and running away from individuals unprovoked.
  • List all default Laws of The Land: 
  • These Laws are active 24/7 with or without a Mayor and cannot be changed/modified.
  • The Police Department does not have to follow laws related to shooting, harming and raiding when enforcing laws. 

  1. Raiding and stealing is illegal.

  2. Entities detected by the contraband scanner are illegal.

  3. Harming players is illegal unless you are defending bases. 

  4. Shooting dangerous weapons in public is illegal.

  5. Laws can be enforced with KOS if the player is wanted.

  6. Laws can be enforced with KOS if a players life is in danger.

  7. Non-default Laws must be things that players choose to do.

  8. Laws that are seen as baiting kills or arrests are disallowed.

  9. The Mayor can choose to make dangerous weapons legal or illegal. 

  • How many bases can you own per party?: Only 1 base per party
  • A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: I would bring them back into the admin sit and freeze them if they are just suiciding or running away. If they're mic spamming then I would mute/gag them until I can get the problem situated. I am able to just utilize the logs and investigate based off of what the person who made the admin request says and what I see in the logs list if I can't get the side of the story out of the person that was reported.
  • Can you punish a player for intentionally ruining others time, even if they say it's out of fun?: Yes, this is known as harassment and it is most definitely punishable. I can warn them for no intention to roleplay if they're doing nothing but causing problems. It also depends on what they are doing to specify what type of rule they are breaking and what warn they would receive.
  • Give an example of a Staff abusing their powers and how you would handle it: Examples include but not limited to: A staff member using noclip to get into a base during a raid or to steal raidable items, giving false warns, and letting sits slide by a trial by deathmatch. I would have the situation recorded and send it to my higher-ups because this behavior is extremely abusive and unacceptable and leaves a bad impression on the staff team.
  • A player is excessively RDMing, how would you intervene/stop them from continuing and what punishment would you give?: I would quickly assess the situation first by teleporting to the player to see if there is a good reason for it, (it could be a normal raid, PD raid, or bank raid for example). If what I assess is legitimately mass RDM and multiple reports come through about it, I would immediately teleport to them and freeze them, or bring them to !adminland and freeze them. I would see if they have any previous warns and refer to the staff handbook to see what the next step I should take in punishing this person would be. I believe it goes to a ban for 3d first offense, 1w second offense, 2w second offense, and possible permanent fourth offense.
  • A Mayor enabled a lockdown without reason and is refusing to turn it off, how do you resolve this?: I would ask why they initiated it to begin with, if there is no reason I would demand that he takes off the lockdown and tell him if he doesn't he will get demoted from mayor. If he still refuses to take the lockdown off, I would demote the mayor for failRP.

  • Extreme growth and improvement from your previous staff apps.
  • Has a clear knowledge on the rules and staff punishments on admin sits.
  • Had no negative interactions with you prior to the creation of the staff app and deserves a shot at becoming T-Mod.
