  1. I would assume Laqota made this ban appeal "late" because they were doing other stuff before trying to play a bit before bed. When I was staff, if people logged off before a sit took place then we would give the "at fault" player the benefit of the doubt and not punish for LTAP. Since logs cannot help either side of the ban, I see no harm just unbanning the player. 


    However, based on ban time, I would believe Latota has previous warns for rdm so maybe a reduction in ban time would be more justifiable.

    Let me spell it out for you. If someone has to DM you about your behavior in a game, then one would assume that it is a serious matter. Based on what was written in the DM from Bad Graphics, you were bothering her a lot. On top of that, if you were already banned then she would HAVE to send you a DM telling you how she felt about your behavior. Get a fucking clue.

    Also, I am not going to sugar coat stuff to you if I don't want to.

    It is different when people act out in a way in response to an action. You were the one that caused the situation. I agree that her response was justified and you are trying to grasp at straws here.

  5. As it stands, I feel that basing has too many tools available to make it extremely hard to raid. Such as:

    • No-collided props / non-transparent areas to pop-out from
    • Use of fences / zig-zag bases

    The tools that raiders have do not really compete, at least I do not believe so. They have:

    • Blow torches
    • EMP grenades
    • RPG / Grenade launcher

    From what I have seen the blow torch is useless in most cases as builder+ players just put stack 3 walls to the entrances of their base and defend the "thinner" insides. The best method of raiding is players spamming rocket launcher or the grenade launcher into a base in hopes the Area of Effect damage kills the defenders. But I would argue that the reliance on AoE damage to win a raid shows that some change may be in order. 

    With 1-way, non-transparent props being allowed to be no-collided, it makes it very hard for a raider to know where to expect a defender to appear from. This is an extreme disadvantage for raiders to have to deal with. Not to mention the fact that fences can be used to essentially form a cage, raiders can be shot from every angle at any part of the base.

    I mainly made this post to see what others currently think about the existing basing rules and hopefully see some thoughtful discussion.

    Reason For Complaint: Astro would put a warning in chat and then use that as an excuse to kill me when I was nearby watching people play his plinko mini-game.


    I will preface this and state that I criticized his game on two occasions, in which case he warned and kill me for which are valid. The other two times he killed me were unjustified and he used the "warning system" as an excuse to kill me. The last two deaths I did nothing other than watch people play the game yet astro still warned me.

    Yeah im not sure about it but wanted peoples eyes on it.

    This would realistically only impact the people who don't spend money, which isn't the majority by any means. So many people grind money and immediately spend it opening boxes or gambling. Same thing with people who hoard money and wait for the new item sets to drop.

    I can see people who already have what they want and just have a lot of money left over feeling like there is nothing for them to work towards possibly liking this change. But the majority of players would not be keen on having the money they grinded for get taken away.

    I honestly don't see this doing much as the only reason the servers economy isn't flooded with even more money is because people Don't care much about "RP" money. The true value in most peoples minds are Perm weapons. Though with the recent changes made to some jobs like Meth, Banking etc I have yet to find a easy way to stack up tons of cash.     Prestige?

    Cost 50 Levels & X amount of in Game money (and cost would step up per level of prestige) Now the ultimate question what "Reward" would be worth the effort and make you want to level prestige? It obviously can't be something that increases your cash flow else it would just compound the issue of inflation. As Perks (F8) are currently broken from what I'm told this could be removed and added into this Prestige System. Perhaps Every "Prestige" level can unlock up to 3 Options. Some Ideas (and I don't know what every perm does but I try not to include anything that's already a perk/feature of a perm) Most of these will be "On Spawn"

    25% Armor | +50 HP (Total of 150) 

    LVL 2

    50% Armor | +75 HP (total of 175)

    LVL 3

    75% Armor | +100 HP (total of 200)

    LVL 4

    100% Armor | +125 HP (total of 225)

    LVL 5

    100% Armor | +125 HP (total of 225)

     

    HP armor would not detract from the use of most medical devices as they will still be very useful in battle. You can do stuff like weapon accuracy (though it would prob be only for non perm guns as it prob would be impossible to add for every single gun, run speed, fall Damage decrease, Increased storage space (dunno if that would be easy as donators get more space), Increase Scanner Jammer Radius, Weapons hold more ammo (again prob only for non perms).

     

    I am sure there are tons of other things people could think of that would make it worth while.

    Issue with this is that veteran players will have an advantage over new players, which Jouaram has been trying to avoid when possible.

    If basing is still overpowered then people will just make money a lot faster with little effort
