I believe i should be unbanned because that way i was treated by the staff member was completely unfair, The entire event started after he tried to take a base issue into his own hands. A fence was materilized and was given a clear by a higher up and there were several staff members that had viewed it and had no complaints. He came over, told us it was against the rules in which we stated repeatedly that it wasn't. the issue was only resolved after we appealed to a superadmin and explained to him where we said we could put it back to what it was, I also add that SexyJanet stated that three staff members "didn't know how to do their job" This was in reference to skygod and a couple others whos names I can't recall. Skygod, who is a higher rank than him and who sat inside our base for multiple hours, had no objections to our build. After this event i put down two textscreens nearby our base stating "My wife's boyfriend bought me moderator - BigSexyJanet" I did this due to the way he acted so arrogantly towards us all while being completely out of his depths. and while there was no intention of harrassment, Janet had found the sign in the meantime and claims to have verbally warned me to remove the sign while i was AFK completely. i came back to find myself jailed for fifteen minutes for low end harrasment. After calling for a staff member and one came, janet teleported over into the sit while i was talking with another staff member. Janet proceeded to falsely explain he had given me a verbal (he didn't) and was speaking aggressively to me. He said he didn't care that i was AFK and he responded saying it didn't matter, it was still a verbal warning. During our conversation he also told me i had "No Fucking Life" and returned himself. During this time i was messaging my friends because of how hopeless the entire situation felt. They all came over and called staff over to dispute the issue, in which they explained that i had to make a report if i wanted anything to be done. I was then unjailed and went back to the map. At this point i went back and deleted the textscreens i had down. and i put one in front of our base, which he then gave me a verbal warning for and i removed. I spoke to another person about how i observed him standing outside of our base waiting for me to put a textscreen down again. and asked him how is it harrassment if he's just lurking waiting for an excuse, to which he decided to physgun me up and bring me to a roof. He said "You're done" to me. which was clear as day as him going to ban me. I'll add at this point, I had all textscreens deleted, and I was listening to his commands. I requested another staff member repeatedly as he ignored me and in a moment of absolute hopelessness i just left the server. i didn't want to deal with the way i was being treated anymore. and i recieved a ban for three days for "Low End Harrasment/Ignoring All Staff/Ltap"
My issue with this entire scenario is several things, from the start janet clearly showed bias towards me because of my textscreen put after the base incident, and fishing for a way to get me punished. He acted on his own repeatedly even when higher ups were requested constantly, which i view as him attempting to hide the way he's behaving because any other staff member wouldn't act the way he did. i also have issue with him taking action while i was AFK, i don't see how it's possible to give a verbal warning to someone who isn't there clearly. let alone jail them for fifteen minutes, while a player was jailed for just ten minutes for literal racism at the same time i was jailed. it clearly stands out as an abuse of power due to not liking what he saw, and taking things too personally. He clearly spoke to me in a disrespectful and toxic manner because of the textscreen, which several staff members stated wasn't really what would stand as harrassment, nor does it even meet the definition of harrassment, harrassment is a repeat of behaviour acting disrespectfully to someone, and the textscreens were only in one location, so if he didn't want to see them, he could look away, actually, they were above head level so he could just not look up at our building if he finds a simple joke to be offensive to him personally, and the biggest thing here IS THE TEXTSCREENS WERE GONE WHEN HE BANNED ME AND HE WAS AWARE OF THAT FACT. He took every sit himself instead of making a report, which can be acceptable but the lack of any assistance from staff was a red flag, especially saying BigSexyJanet is on his first day as staff. if you had a problem you'd naturally bring it up to someone, it's indicative that thinks he doesn't have to follow the rules still. because taking your own sits can lead to bias, in which this case i believe it did. I was also never actually given a legit physical warning for my actions by Janet until he brought me and was trying to ban me. which doesn't follow rule guidelines at all, as far as i can see low end harrasment isn't even anything referenced in the rules which throws me off even more. All i recieved was a verbal warning while i was AFK and a verbal warning while i was actually there, in which i immediantly did as he said. Yet he was attempting to ban me with no previous warnings before that as i wasn't given any in the beginning. I was also warned for ignoring all staff, which makes no sense, at no point did i ignore him excluding when i physically wasn't at the my computer playing the game (AFK). When finally told by him to remove it, i did. and that was the only interaction i had where i was told to do anything. at no point did i purposefully ignore Sexy or any staff members at all.
Coming to an end point, i can't dispute the leaving part of the ban, i did leave. But i left at that point because of everything that had happened so far, i was treated significantly unfairly and punished repeatedly. I continued to watch janet show bias towards me and act abusively. And at the end of this point i saw no reason in continuing to listen to him treat me this way, especially when he physgunned me for LITERALLY no reason at the end, which i viewed as just a downright abuse of power. I apologise for leaving but after all this i saw no reason to continue putting myself through this toxic experience at the hands of a man who was upset at me and wanted to actively seek revenge against me with his powers.
In conclusion, i was repeatedly harrased by a staff member after making a joke because of the way he behaved in a sit, and recieved an aggresive amount of action taken against me repeatedly in unfair circumstances. i feel my ban was unjust because of many reasons and BigSexyJanet showed behaviour similar to that of a child in regards to abuse of power and behaviour. After speaking to individuals in the server and my friends doing so, i've learned that many community members hold negative opionions to Janet as staff and the way he acts which makes me feel more unsure of him.
I will be filing a staff report on Janet, and implore anyone else who has been treated unfairly or feel they act innapropriately to also file a staff report. I hope my unban appeal is taken into consideration fairly with everything that's happened, as I take the core gameplay experience of DarkRP seriously as it's something I enjoy, and staff members who treat players in the ways I personally believe Janet did today spoils the gameplay.
