DarkRP General Questions How can you contribute to Aether?: The most common thing I see here said is “I don't see a lot of staff active when I'm on”, And honestly I would have to agree with that statement, but there are a lot of staff that put hard dedicated time and energy and in some cases their own money to having fun on the server and making sure others do to, and honestly… That is what I want to do. I want to make this a place where people can meet some new friends and have a fun time. I have already met some really cool people in my short time that I have played on the server myself Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible? (Yes/No): Absolutely, I haven’t been a Mod on a gmod server in years, I expect that I Am going to have issues in the future that I will need help and training to fix that issues until I can manage on my own, I know that even past T-mod, I might still need help, and I accept that I won't know everything, but that's why there are people to help you on your journey. (Yes/No): I Am certain I can staff the server for several hours., I have just finished my first year in college and I'm on summer break. So all I'm doing is work and games. DarkRP Rule Questions Raids can last how long?: Raids can last up to but not exceeding 10 minutes. However once receiving the loot from said raid, You must start making your way out and ending the raid. What initiates a raid?: /advert Raid, or If you are raiding the PD you can say /advert PD Raid. With that at the end of the raid you must say /advert Over. If the owner of the base is standing outside as you're about to raid, can you kill them?: Yes, and No. If the owner is outside of their base and is a threat to your raid you can, however if you call the raid and the owner is in a gun store, or in PD or etc., away from said base, that owner is not a threat and you can not kill that base's owner at that time, once they make there way back then they become a threat to you. List 3 default Laws of The Land: Do not attack others unless in self defense, Do not steal or break into others homes, and Money printers/drugs are illegal. How many bases can you own per party?: There is a 1 base per party rule, This also includes PD. A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: Refusal of co-operation from the person will A, lead to a harsher punishment, B. A longer time that said sit takes. At the end of the day people have to realize that this is a game, there are rules you must follow in every game, breaking said rules will lead to punishment. And if it takes a harsher punishment for people to learn that they must follow the rules and stick to the guidelines that are set in place for these types of issues. You see another staff member abusing their power (Give an example of a staff abusing and how you would handle it/who you would contact): In my case I would see if there is anyone Mod+ to call them to see if they can/ or cannot handle the situation. If there are no Mod+’s active at the time I will try my best to record what is happening or ask the person to stop, (or both) and then proceed to make a report on the Player/Staff Reports here on the forums. A player is excessively RDMing/RDAing and breaking NLR (What is RDM/RDA and NLR? How do you determine if a player is breaking any of these?): RDM is Random Death Match, RDA is Randomly Arresting People, and NLR is New Life Rule. To determine if someone is RMDing people you can usually see that in the kill feed, If you don't see the kill feed you can tell by the kill logs, to see if the person has been RMDing without warnings or while their base is being raided. Also can be checked by the amounts of complaints on said person. RDAing can be found out a lot easier, There is also a feed for that as well as the sheer number of complaints that would come in from RDAing issues. And people breaking NLR can happen for instance when someone is raiding and said person is killed during the base raid and comes back in before their 3 minute timer.
