I don't have a problem with Douey being punished, Douey was in the wrong in this situation. However I very strongly dislike how you handled the situation and how you went about it. I made an edit in my original comment as you posted this if you want to refer to that.
Although punishing was justified, that doesn't take away of how extremely poorly you handled this situation.
And if Victus was on, why did you take your own sit? Staff should never take their own sits It's a horrible idea especially if you have other staff active that can be a 3rd party. Using your powers to punish those who break rules against you is not what a staff member should be doing at ALL.

These are 2 basic Laws of the land on the MOTD. If you are breaking these with your toy gun it is law regardless.
I'm gonna give my take on this:
Starting with what I quoted above, what is a default law that is to be enforced by PD in-game and what is a rule that the staff enforce are two entirely different things. Using a law PD enforces as justification of staff action is highly incorrect.
Douey:
-Any amount of damage no matter how small or big is still damage. If you are going around randomly damaging players, that is against the rules and staff can punish you for it.
-Toy Guns are toys that you can shoot around randomly with or mess around with those who are your friends or that you know would be cool with it. Not to just go around randomly shooting everyone you see. That 100% classifies you as a minge
-If you are asked to stop several times, just stop. That's like a teacher telling a student "If you touch Jacob again you are going to the principals office" and then you touch Jacob again right after being told not to then get shocked when you get sent to the principals office. If someone tells you not to do something and you do it anyways, why complain about the consequences? Just weird to me

-Can I see the chat logs? I'm sure the warns and mutes are justified but I've been playing long enough to know that when something this small escalates this much, it almost always has to do with escalation or antagonization from a staff member. I want to see how the staff team was responding to what he was saying in chat.
-It's a 1 damage gun. Was it really worth all this trouble? I highly highly support the old rule we used to have on RetributionRP where RDM x1 was allowed in the rules but was illegal meaning small petty RDM x1 sits would get handled by the police arresting for it, not handled by staff. Which would be very efficient if Jouaram added my suggestion of having a witness system. Similar to how you can't rape swep if someone is nearby but instead, that same radius that it detects someone is nearby, would act as a witness to a murder and would automatically make you wanted if you murder. That means to not get auto wanted for murder, you have to do it in a secluded area with no witnesses. This would not mark you if the other person damaged you first.
-Got side tracked but in that last one I was making the point of, if he damages you, just kill him 4head. While although you're justified to throw a fit about it and were allowed to punish him for it, his gun does 1 damage. Pull out ANY gun at all and kill him if he shoots you, problem solved.
-Him saying he did not know about receiving any type of previous warning, you should be bringing him to a sit and addressing him properly while warning instead of saying 1 thing in OOC that he may miss and then using that against him later. That's super inefficient. You can't be lazy in staff scenarios, you need to take the time to actually have a sit with the person.
-I don't like how you muted him, and the second he was unmuted he said 1 thing that you didn't like so you gave him 6x the punishment as the last one. For one, you should go to a sit to talk to him and actually resolve the issue instead of saying "Have a problem with it? Here have another mute. Huh that didn't work and you still don't like it? Uhhhh.. another much longer mute!"
You did absolutely NOTHING to actually handle or resolve the situation. Only were lazy and kept muting him instead of taking the time to actually have a conversation with the dude.
Jouaram:
-I would recommend either making the gun do more damage such as 5, or making it do 0 damage. 1 damage is kind of weird and is in the middle. You should decide if you want it to do no damage, or to do low damage but still some.

Yeah but that's for the playermodels of 6 jobs which is about 6 mb each. 36 mb really isn't that much and doesn't make much of a difference. Most servers have content sizes of like 10x the amount we have on Aether. We've been tip toeing around with our content size and basically have no content size so I think it would be worth sacrificing some space for content people would enjoy. The reason most servers sacrifice slightly longer load times is because there's more content to keep people on for longer.

Describe your suggestion: The recent update with cuffs and nightstick are really really good and great progress towards making PD overall fun and viable to play so with that being said, I want to give some more ideas on how we can roll that snowball. These are mainly quality of life changes.
1.
Please spread out PD's utility. They are currently all under #2 and it is a clusterfuck. Hard to get to what you need to use. As a cop, switching weapons is ESSENTIAL because you are switching between gun, arrest baton, handcuffs, and nightstick. The harder it is to switch to these, the harder it is to do your job.

Majority of the PD jobs are useless and desperately need upgrades to their kits.
EX: Swat has the strongest gun by far (MP7) and it outclasses any gun any of the other PD jobs get even the Swat Leader's kit. When the Swat has 5x a better kit (4 person job) than a Swat Leader's kit (1 person job in charge of swat) then something is wrong. I would either put the G36C on the Swat and swap the MP7 over to the Swat Leader, or find a better gun to give to swat leader.
Change job from Police Medic to Swat Medic:
Swat Medic - Please for the love of god give him an armor kit. This is one of the most useless jobs in the game because all he can do is heal yet he gets outhealed by EVERY single healing form in the game. Giving an armor kit would make him very useful.
*Also give him a close range gun (not one of the best but an okay close range weapon such as a UMP45) the current gun is useless*
Add SWAT Sniper - [VIP Only]
As a SWAT Sniper your main job is to set up on a vantage point and then focus on taking down high priority targets. (The only targets you may KOS are active threats that are shooting in public, attacking someone, harming your fellow police, or raiding. You may not KOS for laws broken or for laws that do not make them an active threat.)
*Would have a sniper kit with a pistol as a secondary*
Police Trainee -
This job can be made more fun by having goals or missions automatically assigned to you. Any sort of mission or objective for you would be completing training which would reward you with money and XP. Completing training as a police trainee is repeatable, an officer can never have enough training.
Secret Service -
This jobs is VERY weak especially for someone who is supposed to be guarding the mayor directly. I would give them a Saiga for close range encounters, and give them some sort of reward for defending the mayor. EX: cash bonus for every person killed in PD who has a weapon/tool out.
Add Job: Juggernaut - [VIP Only]
As a Juggernaut you move at half the speed of everyone else making you very slow and easy to hit. However, you can have double the HP as everyone else (300 instead of 150) and may get 75 more armor (200 instead of 125). Although you get a lot of HP and Armor, you being slow makes it super easy to evade you and makes you an easy target to hit. Kit would include basic PD kit along with an LMG (While holding LMG you move EVEN slower so you are practically forced standing still while shooting.)

PLEASE readd the /911 command where when used, will ping your location for other officers. This was one of the best features I had seen on any server and was used all the time. Not sure why it was removed by any form of it added back would be great. Basically if you found contrabands in a base, you type /911 and fellow officers will see your location and can run over to it.

Handcuffed players and wanted players should not need to be arrested from behind. It is very annoying and could lead to situations that have already frustrated me like this one:

Replace the default models. Custom models are more fun, more unique, and more engaging. Having the same default models is boring and lazy. I think we should revamp them and give them all a new look.

Most of these are relatively small file size but some are a bit bigger. However it is 100% worth it. People have been asking for a long time for new and better models.
How will this improve the quality of Aether?: All of these changes will have a multitude of positive effects on Aether.

It's not basing elsewhere. It's hiding. Which mayors do very often. As for hitmen there's not always hitmen on or they could fail. Shouldn't need to rely on someone else for something you want.

Describe your suggestion: I've mentioned it before but:
There should be a permanent health and armor dispenser in the lobby of PD (so everyone can access it.)
-Gets disabled when there are 2 or more people on the medic job.
-Gives health/armor slower and at a higher cost
There should also be a permanent attachment box at fountain
-Gets disabled when there are 2 or more people on the black market dealer job
-Double the cost ($5,000 instead of $2,500)
How will this improve the quality of Aether?:
People don't play medic often and because of that, there is no way to fill armor. It is annoying having to kill bind as police just to get my armor back after getting out of an RP Situation. I see no reason why we shouldn't do this

Describe your suggestion:
Arresting needs a serious rework. I really hate having to gun people down all the time because arresting just simply is not viable in any way. In fact, it's more than just not being viable, it is extremely buggy and broken.
-Add a way to stun or incapacitate or handcuff someone
-The "players with weapons out must be arrested from behind" is EXTREMELY buggy and makes it impossible to arrest people. (Refer to video below)
-There needs to be much more incentive / rewards for arresting
-People who are wanted should not need to be arrested from behind
In summary, give a way to stun and handcuff people to allow for arrests to happen. If a player does not have a wanted status, it should be hard to arrest them until you get them in handcuffs. However, if they have a wanted status, they should NOT need to be arrested from behind.
While I am on the topic, it would also be VERY nice if we added what people have been asking for and make it so when you hold C, you can see the current laws.
ALL of these scenarios happened within an hour or two of playing. This is to showcase the horrible state that it is in. Hopefully this brings awareness and change to it.
How will this improve the quality of Aether?:
Playing CP is a lot of fun but gets ruined so much by the incapability and lack of tools to make arrests.
Video #1 - Here I was directly behind Goldfishie and swung MULTIPLE times and could not have been more behind him. It kept spamming me at the bottom right saying I needed to arrest him from behind even though I was swinging at his spine. With how bad that is when they are standing still, IMAGINE trying to do that while they are moving.
Video #2 - In this video, it shows yet another way you can very easily avoid arrest. If I had ANY tool at all to stun then he would not have made it to spawn. This should also be changed so that after damaging a player there is a cooldown before you receive spawn protection. Counter to this could be making it so that the arrest baton only works in spawn if a player is wanted.
Video #3 - With how small dwarves are, it is damn near impossible to arrest them without a stun, let alone while they are moving. But it also shows yet another way anyone at all can EASILY avoid getting arrested.

The reason for this would pretty much just be for players to flex it. They’d have the title of the best at _____ on aether. And I agree the item would lose a bit of value after some time but it’s not really about the item. We’d want the items to be cool for sure, but it’s more about what the item means / the title behind it.
idk if that makes sense but yeah it’s more about what the item means than the item itself. If I have the red item I can flex and ppl will know that I won best pvp on aether.
also these items wouldn’t be the only prizes, they’d win other things too this would just be the main thing. But it’s less of “look at my cool item” and more or “look at me I’m the best at _______”

Ok so basically I wanna do something it’s hard to explain but imagine we had a set of items of different colors. Whether they be fun seeps, cosmetics, anything. And the different colors represent something. Kind of like infinity stones to an extent where each color represents something.
Ex:
-White item = Best builder of Aether (Building contest where each time it is held, they are given a random category/genre that their build must fall under. For example, if I say "Snow" then some people could build some snowmen, a cabin style house, gingerbread house/man, anything to do with snow. After 1 hour, they will be posted on the forums without names and the community will vote for the build they liked most.)
-Red item = Best at pvp on Aether (Any type of competitive pvp event such as a gunfight style event I used to run where participants take turns entering a competitive style arena where they are both given the same guns to use and fight. But the arena's environment changes every pvp event.)
-Blue item = Most talented of Aether (Talent show would be hosted once every other week)
-Green item = Best movement on Aether (parkour/climb event where the obstacle or objective changes each time the event is hosted)
We would host 2 of these a week on the same day, then the other 2 the next week. For example, Pvp and building event would both be on Sunday. Then a week later the following Sunday, the other 2 would be ran instead. So it would go Pvp and building one Sunday, then Movement and Talent show the next Sunday. So if you win the pvp event, you win the red item (something like red flaming angel wings that look sick) anything to flex it. Then, you keep that item (untradable) until the next event is done to decide a new winner. So if I win those angel wings, they get removed as soon as someone else wins them the next week or 2. Then it repeats. So each item only 1 person can have at a time and you get whichever item you want by winning the corresponding event. Ex: Sunday Week 1: PvP and building event (red and blue items) Sunday Week 2: movement and talent show event (White and Green items)
This would be great new content and would set in stone a plan for new consistent content every single week for players to look forward to. New content in the following aspects:
-New items in-game
-Events being done
-Taking it to the forums such as polls for best builder will give the forums even more traffic
-Something for players to consistently look forward to
-Boosted player count for these events because they will be done every week on the same day so people will be in the habit of getting on for them.
to any staff, I would be willing to build any of these events for you guys to use, and am also willing to assist in any way needed for making sure the event is ran well. I will do as much as I can but as a player my resources are limited. I can build and give advice/guidance on running each of them.
If Jouaram needs me to supply the addons for new content we could add in as prizes for these, let me know and I can supply them.

Like I said, I don't believe that an RDM x1 is warranted. But that's just my opinion. If the long distance rule applies on PD, then any mayor not in PD has permanent immunity and can survive indefinitely because if he were killed it would be RDM. Therefore, I think he was perfectly fine to kill the Mayor in a PD Raid.
To sum it up I think you handled it well and made the right call. But there should be some clarification either that PD Raid can also be a Revolt (Meaning you're more-so just trying to kill the mayor and put an end to him and his laws). Or, he could choose to separate them and require separate adverts depending on which one who knows. But it would be good to clarify. Either way it's a grey area and just a small petty situation, I don't think even a verbal is deserved personally.

If they’re friends and the guy didn’t complain at all, this report seems almost comedic. Did you attempt to reach out to unknown spy in anyway to ask why he did it or if he knew the guy? Seems like a simple 10 second conversation in game would solve this immediately. I do understand your concern though with seeing a staff member noclip and rdm someone. But in the future I’d recommend trying to talk or get a bit more into before jumping to that conclusion.

I mean it’s a bit of a tough one because I consider a pd raid to be more than just raiding the building. A lot of pd raids are also taking out the mayor. I don’t think long range applies when raiding the pd. Rather than just the building you wanna target the mayor. Now say the mayor isn’t in pd and is hiding somewhere. He’d basically have immunity and wouldn’t be able to be killed without it being considered rdm.
If you let the long range rule apply to pd raids (would be very stupid) then mayors hiding outside of pd become immortal. Pd raids are meant to be more of an event where players try to overpower the government. Announcing it could mean either a raid OR a revolt against the mayor. (We could change the rules so that there’s a difference between the two but currently they’re the same.)
Besides, at most you would get out of this is maybe a verbal warning on Barack but considering I don’t think the rule should apply there, I don’t think he did anything wrong at all. You said he bullied you so if you gave proof of that there could be punishment for harassment but if not, I don’t see anything coming from this. This report seems petty and unnecessary. You’re reporting an rdm x1 (if they consider that rule to apply) on the forums which is weird to me.

I’m a bit confused, what exactly are you reporting him for? Bullying you? Or the isolated incident of him long range raiding? I don’t really get it
either way you seem more upset with how the sit was handled / the outcome of the sit rather than the player doing it. Rather than a player report this seems more aimed at baby man for you being unhappy with how he handled the sit.

1. Rape swep was removed because it is against the Garrys Mod rules so we can not replace it. Any type of Rape SWEP or equivalent, anything that is sexual makes Jouaram liable for it.

I used to run a mixture for those who liked rp events. Rp events are pretty fun to run but can be very tricky, maybe the staff are up for the challenge to run one

If he got banned for 4 hours for MRDM and PW he's most likely filing an extension. Did you ask him if it is getting extended? Trial Mods only have a maximum ban time of 4 hours I believe

I don't know if HeavyPanda did this intentionally or not but that is why this isn't a report, just a suggestion post to figure out how to prevent it in the future. Whether disabling entities damaging players when they blow up, or some reconstruction to not put a building directly below the mayors office.

Describe your suggestion: We need to either do something about entity bombing, or at least move one of the buildings so that the mayors office is not directly above a base.

How will this improve the quality of Aether?: Police were all having fun and then the mayor got entity bombed through the floor so now there is no mayor and whenever they try getting a mayor, people just spam no so there is no way to recover from the incident. Rather, we should prevent it from happening in the first place.
Base where it happened:
(As you can see with the stairs, a 2nd floor was created to put the entity directly underneath the mayor's office and then killed us all through the floor.)

-Forum activity could use some work. There's been a lot of things posted on the forums, just giving your opinion or feedback on anything is good for forum activity. Or giving feedback on people's staff apps.
Considering you haven't done anything horrible and don't have any glaring quality that deserves an instant denial, I don't see any reason you wouldn't be given a shot through a trial phase. You have the activity on both in-game and discord. I'd like to see what you do with an opportunity given to you. Any kinks can be worked out through the trial phase and if not, failing the trial phase is always an option. Good luck

Some parts of it seem awesome though, like the job changes, and some of the skill tree (The perks for meth or printers). ThanksYeah that's why the HP and speed buffs are very minimal. That's why I tried to make the skills in the skill tree not OP to where they'd give a huge advantage over newer players, just more of a quality of life upgrade or a boost in their progression. And like I said before, these are just raw ideas so anything that doesn't fit well in the skill tree like HP or speed can be removed 🙂

It leads to bias situations that are easily avoidable. If a 3rd party staff member were taking the sit instead of you taking your own sit, do you think he would have still received 3 rapid fire warns over the same incident?
You took the smallest incident possible and gave 3 warns over it that are just straight dumb tbh
