DarkRP General Questions

• How can you contribute to Aether?:

I can contribute to the Aether Community by being an active staff member and helping during sits. While Ill be playing the standard role play I will also be keeping my eyes out for anyone that will be breaking the rules. I will help with any events that start by trying to make them more fun and run smoothly. I hope to be able to lessen the amount of rules broken on the server. I have been staff member on a large number of servers and absolutely love helping out a great community. I know most of the ULX commands and the warn system so I would not need much help with that. 

• Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible? (Yes/No): Yes, While I have made my fair share of mistakes I am confident that I have learned from them. I have made one mistake in my early days of playing on this server but that is the only warn I have received. 

Are you willing to listen to any Staff member guide you as a Staff, even if you feel you don't need to? (Yes/No):  Yes, I'm very happy to take any constructive criticism that will help me improve. 

• Are you certain you will be able to staff for several hours a week? (Yes/No): Yes everyday after school I can be on. The only day I cant be on is some Sundays.

DarkRP Rule Questions

• Raids can last how long?: 10 Minutes 

What initiates a raid?: Adverting Raid. Your 10 minute timer starts as soon as that enters the chat log.

• If the owner of the base is standing outside as you're about to raid, can you kill them?: Yes as long as they are close enough to be interfering with the raid.

• List 3 default Laws of The Land: Raiding is illegal, Murder is illegal, and Shooting in public is illegal.

• How many bases can you own per party?: 1 base per party, Any more would be considered mega basing.

• A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: Freeze the player if they are trying to leave the sit. If the player is Mic Spamming start by gagging them so you can continue the sit. Find the person at fault and act accordingly.

You see another staff member abusing their power (Give an example of a staff abusing and how you would handle it/who you would contact): I would contact a staff member that was higher than the player abusing. For instance If the staff member was a higher rank than me attempting to kick a large amount of players I would kick the staff member doing that so the higher up could demote him with minimal damage.  If the staff member was a lower rank then I would demote the player to User and take care of the situation accordingly. Stopping the abuse as quickly as possible is what I aim to do.

• A player is excessively RDMing/RDAing and breaking NLR (What is RDM/RDA and NLR? How do you determine if a player is breaking any of these?): RDM is basically killing someone for no reason. To find out if someone is RDMing then i would check logs. This would help me find if the player was damaged before killing someone. For RDA I would ask the reason for arrest and then act accordingly. If the cop said that the player killed someone then i could check logs. NLR is New Life Rule if a player dies and returns to that location before 3 minutes then he would be breaking NLR. I could check logs to see where the player was killed and when he returned.

Extra Comments: Im excited to be able to help the Aether community in any way I can. I absolutely love playing on this server! The first time I posted a staff application I was denied due to a lack of time on the forums and the Discord. Since then I have tried to be very active on both and I think I have done a great job.

Yes you can find the entire conversation in the general tab in the Discord. DEVGRU took the situation completely unprofessional. I understand that staff members want to RP sometimes but when you are the only other staff member on and multiple sits come up you should take  a 10 minute break from RP to help.

Sure this isn't my report but context is, I raped somebody (at the time which was legal, law 😎 and when I was finished doing the deed, he shot me. I told him it was RDM, he denied it then ignored me afterwards. And like Fortesquu said, he almost never takes sits and as far as I know, I've only seen him maybe take one sit in the past week.

EDIT: in fact, the only times i've seen him take a sit or do something staff-related is when someone RDMs him or breaks some sort of rule and it involves him. This brings me to the conclusion that he's probably staff only to protect himself against other people and not to help with the server at all.

Yeah I can understand not being able to be on the server all the time. But when you are on at least take some sits.

Franke, While yes we had illegals in the PD. This was when the server had about 7 people on thats including Jouaram and Dr. Philrat who were both AFK. Janet came into the PD and said that we needed to leave and remove all illegals, Which we did right after the RP court session. Dreadnaught had joined the server about 4-5 mins before the items were all removed. He had no part in the "PD Mall" That we had going on and neither did any other staff member. This report is gonna get a LARGE -1 from me. It has no evidence that Dread was doing anything wrong nor any evidence that he froze you.

Today we had a court session in the PD this time instead of my mic being to loud its too quiet 😞
