+1, been very active and very helpful, as well as playing on the server for a while.

Massive +1 I don't give those out lightly, wear it as a badge of honor. You've been nothing but a gem in the rock pile that is the Aether playerbase. Application is very well put together. I genuinely can't think of any time you were negative towards the community. I constantly see you helping out new players. Never beefing with anyone. Genuinely a really good candidate for staff.

In-Game Name: seyla Age: 27 YEARS YOUNG I THINK Steam ID (Use steamid.io): STEAM_0:1:25865565 Discord Tag: seyla Playtime (!time in-game): >Your total time is 3mo 2w 1d 22h 26m. Timezone: CDT / GMT -5 When do you usually play? (e.g. Weekdays 5–9PM): Weekdays ~5:30PM - 10PM CDT, active during weekends with sporadic hours. Obviously, my real world obligations come before the game, but I would not be applying if I didn't have an adequate amount of time per week to dedicate to the server. Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/dunkin_donuts_hot_coffee/ Why do you want to be Staff?: It has taken me years of on and off play for me to reach the point where I feel comfortable applying for staff on Aether. The core reason that I wish to be staff on Aether is to help players of all kinds find their place in this community. I want the players who join Aether just to minge - like many of us originally did - to realize that this server is actually somewhere for them to find friends. I want to help people who have just opened DarkRP for the first time understand what anything they're looking at means. I really enjoy answering questions for people, even if that means searching for the answer together. Additionally, I truly feel that I will always return to this community in some form. Even in times where I've taken a long break from playing on Aether, I always knew that I would return at some point. My end goal is to apply myself in learning the staffing system of Aether, and become someone that the community can depend on. How do you believe you can make Aether's environment better?: I have a lot of experience to bring to Aether in terms of staffing on GMod, and real-world problem solving. Garry's Mod has been my main game ever since I created my steam account, and I began staffing at around 17 years old. When a community I staffed in would last long enough, I'd typically reach ranks such as Head Admin / community manager. In the real world, I have held the title of supervisor, and have had to hold other adults accountable on my team. I often need to perform under pressure in environments where I'm not particularly comfortable. Whether I'm playing a game, or training someone at the workplace, I love to teach people and aid them in understanding. I believe that over the years, I've learned how to find ways to effectively communicate with the different people I come across. Ultimately I hope to bring a level head and calm approach to solving problems on Aether, while also being passionate in helping others learn the game and quirks of the server. Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible?: Yes Space for any extra comments you might have (feel free to speak your mind): Thank you for taking the time to read all this mess, and please feel free to add whatever criticism you may have of me. I'd be lucky to be given a shot at learning the ins and outs of staffing on Aether. I have tried to keep this app slim and to the point, but I'm happy to answer any questions. Rule Questionnaire Give one example of RDM: An example of RDM: Player A spawns in as a police, runs out of spawn, and shoots player B on sight. There is no valid roleplay reason for them to be damaging anyone in this instance. Give one example of NLR: An example of NLR: Player A has a base set up. Player B /adverts raid as thief, breaks into Player A's base, and kills Player A. Player A respawns and immediately returns to their base to kill Player B before the raid is completed. This is NLR on Player A's behalf, as they have already lost the raid to Player B and cannot return to defend. What sign would a player place on their base to avoid being raided whilst having no raidables?: A player can use a "Building" sign without raidables down to avoid being raided while constructing a base, or an "RP only" sign to have a vendor shop/hangout spot without raidables. If you get RDM'd are you allowed to kill the RDMer back?: No - to keep it simple, if a player believes they have been RDMed, they should report it to staff. Give an example of a Staff abusing their powers: Staff members setting their job through commands to bypass job limits, spectating players to gain an in-RP advantage, noclipping to avoid a roleplay scenario, or /unarresting themselves from a valid arrest are all examples of abuse of staff powers.
