What is prestiging? Prestiging is Aether's lategame progression system, giving active players something long term to work toward. With prestiging comes a variety of cool perks that unlock new jobs, make existing jobs easier and more rewarding, and unlock other neat bonuses. For each prestige, you get 1 Prestige Point to be used in the Prestige Shop to unlock these bonuses. If you happen to grind enough to unlock the whole Prestige Shop, you even get a neat role in the Discord for bragging rights. Every time you prestige, up to Prestige 15, you'll gain more passive Aether Bucks at every interval, and get bonus AB for completing trivia questions in chat. How do I prestige? Type !prestige in the chat, or go to the Prestige NPC at spawn. You need to be level 350 (if you are over this level, it won't reset you to zero, it will just subtract 350 levels) and have $1,500,000 (after prestige 15, this cost drops to just $500,000) If you have many levels and enough money, you can do multiple prestiges at once by clicking +. There's no limit to prestiges, but you only need 912 to unlock everything in the Prestige Shop as of 5/11/2026 Just a disclaimer, if you prestige, you will not keep any leveling perks from the levels you lose, but don't worry; the prestige shop points are very worth losing these perks, and you can always get them back later by leveling up again. How do I farm prestiges? A good way to get plenty of XP for prestiging is to play the Cigarette Smuggler job, as you get plenty of XP doing so. Other jobs that are good for XP include the Trashman and Meth Lab Cook. To supplement XP gain, consider planting Shrooms as well, as they give 1-2 levels for each one and are pretty fast. Alternatively, you could amass many XP orbs and use them at the XP Orb Converter in spawn (located next to the prestige NPC). You can get plenty of XP orbs by unboxing them (daily cases like Aetherite Crates and Mysterious Crates will give plenty, so will Loot Crates. You can also buy them in bulk from players on Market, usually for 3k to 5k per orb. It takes 20 prestige orbs to get 350 levels. To prestige 912 times (the amount of prestiges you would need to unlock everything in the Prestige Shop at the time of writing this guide), you would need 18240 XP orbs in total. To get the most out of each XP orb, make sure to use exactly 20 orbs to get from level 0 to 350, prestige, use 20 orbs again, rinse and repeat until you are prestige 912. It will take a long time to do, but if you are patient, you will reach prestige 912 and be able to get all of the cool upgrades in the Prestige Shop. -

Suggestion: Buff the aether shard payout of loot crates How will this improve the quality of Aether?: Loot crates used to be rewarding back when they gave money, because they gave a lot of it, but the new aether shard replacement isn't nearly as valuable because they give less aether shards than boss crates, with only 5 aether shards. The loot crates should give 10 or 25 aether shards instead of just 5 -
It was a stormy night, I decided to play Gmod alone since I had nothing else to do. None of my friends were on so inviting them would be useless. I load up gm_construct and start to look through my mods. “Huh” I said to myself, “That’s weird”. There in my weapons menu it said “Half Life: Source”. I click the name and pull out a crowbar. It’s perfect. No missing textures, it’s got all the sounds, where did this come from? I check my mounted games and see that Half Life: Source isn’t mounted. I check to see if I own it on the workshop. Nope. Where did this come from? I check my NPCs, Half Life: Source is there, waiting for me. I spawn a scientist. No issues at all. Just a plain scientist. I start to mildly panic. I quit Gmod and decide to play Half Life 2 again to take my mind off all this. I load up the game and make a new save. When I load in all the textures are... Different. They’re... Half life 1 textures. I panic even more, but before I can do anything, I hear “Why do we all have to wear these RIDICULOUS TIES?!”
