I agree with pancakes, maybe building in an rp only scenario would be pretty cool. Maybe adding a sign or some text on screen that says so. It would make for a sick "hidden gun dealer" or some sort of place that players could build and run. However, in a raidable base standpoint I dont think so.

I feel like you are taking this way out of proportion and aren't reading our responses fully and just certain pieces. Take a step back and look at it from other players POV everything you've said so far is how it affects you and not other players. I think a overall fairness of all players is what were talking about I gave you an example of how it could be abused and all I got was an attempted diss and when we try to explain it from other players POV's its nothing but disses Which by the way I do build bases but usually base with people I know if they are on. I would like to hear how other players feel about this change to, especially since it just recently became allowed I dont think it would hurt many players to add a restriction back or add a RP Only restriction. -
As someone who builds bases, yes I would be saying that. Short version: People shouldn't have to find a code to raid your base. The rules are rather clear for basing after recent changes & putting a box which deletes your props doesn't make it any more confusing. The door still opens slow & people can get trapped inside your base. Not really a waste of space if nothing else would take it's spot? If it's removed & readded for events wouldn't that increase load times every event? (Having to redownload the map) It's not that big of a deal to just restrict it imo.

The entire reason I made this post is because I built a base in the vault and noticed that everytime a thief or hitman came down they'd try to lockpick the vault door, fail, and leave. Some of them would ask in chat what the vault code is. I'd reply, informing them how to find it. Out of the like 6 or 7 people that tried to raid me during my stay in the vault that single day, none of them bothered to try. That tells me that the vault door itself is a very strong defense against raiders, you add ontop the ability to build a base inside, that just seems unfair. Certainly an easy solution to make it more fair to raiders would be to just make the vault door lockpickable. Or, if the intention is to keep the vault code a unique feature that you're required to find, my suggestion is to add a restriction/limitation on how you can build in the vault to make it more fair. Or maybe it doesn't even have to go that far, maybe just a text screen explaining how to find the vault code may help players, but like others have said, that's still something people have to spend a couple minutes to find even to just have a chance at raiding.

Again Delete the entirety of the vault if you guys don't think we should be restricted from building in there other wise its a waste of loading time space. It was for a halloween event anyways which happens once a year it's a waste of space
