That's exactly why the current restriction is the boundaries of the rooftop or up until the sidewalk for ground bases. It's an easy to understand limitation without someone having to pull out a measuring tape or there be specific limitations for each rooftop/base/etc. I'm not opposed to the idea of changing the rule, depending on the compromise, but then it becomes the issue of how to make it a clear and concise rule that people also aren't going to abuse. One of the main reasons why the building rules were tightened was because of these increasingly strong metas appearing that pushed the rules to their very limits that made players (especially new players) look at the base and immediately give up trying to raid it. I haven't seen that as often with the new rules in place. As a really bad raider myself, I've even found raiding a bit more approachable now. Obviously basing metas are going to happen eitherway, but the current metas are a bit more reasonable than the old ones were. My biggest concern is if the restrictions are loosened that these new unintended-OP metas re-appear.

While the idea of finding a “middle ground” sounds reasonable in theory, changes like these often create more problems than they solve. The current restrictions exist for a reason: they prevent situations where certain playstyles become too dominant or frustrating for everyone else. Adjusting raiding tools or rooftop basing rules could easily create new balance issues that are harder to fix than the original problem. What may seem like “more creativity” for one group can quickly become an unfair advantage for another. I understand the argument that raiding can feel static and that players want more options, but not every limitation is a problem that needs to be solved. Sometimes restrictions are what keep gameplay consistent and prevent the server from becoming a constant cycle of rule changes trying to fix the consequences of previous changes. Regarding rooftop bases, the current limitations are also important because they avoid returning to situations where bases become overly defensive, difficult to approach, or annoying to raid. Expanding those rules would likely bring back many of the same issues that caused restrictions in the first place. In conclusion, while the discussion is appreciated, the safest and most balanced approach is to keep the rules as they are. The risks of changing them outweigh the potential benefits, and maintaining stability should take priority over adding more complexity.

I agree with the base building rules and restrictions it has discourage me from wanting to build bases I like having the more creative side and the entirety of the inside of the base to have more players base with me and the raiding rules I can see banning the sweps that give op speeds but something like the stealth assassin should be allowed it boosts your movement slightly not like the sonic swep -
Yeah, I completely understand where you’re coming from. Changes like this can easily create new complaints if they aren’t handled carefully, especially with raiding and basing where both sides are affected differently. I think the main thing I’m trying to get across is that there may be room for a middle ground. Raiding could use something that makes it feel a bit less static, and rooftop basing could still have space for creativity without bringing back the old extreme cases. For raiding, that could take many forms. It could be certain tools being adjusted, new utility being designed with strict limits, or a clearer difference between tools that create pressure and tools that are just oppressive. I don’t think there is only one correct answer there, but the general idea would be to give raiders more ways to interact with held angles without making defending feel pointless. For rooftops, I think it’s similar. The enjoyable part is being able to build something more open and creative than the usual building interiors, while still keeping the base fair and simple to raid. That could be handled through size limits, distance limits, rooftop limits, or any other approach that keeps things reasonable. Overall, I just think both topics have some room for discussion rather than being all-or-nothing. I understand the concern about ripple effects, but I also think there are ways to shape the rules so they allow more creativity and counterplay while still keeping the server balanced.

Of course The player that i mainly saw complaining was called "Stony Tark" but i am not 100% sure if it was him or another player actually called "tony stark" so it might not be 100% accurate
