-1 Greetings, fellow players, I hope this message finds you all in good spirits. I felt compelled to step in and provide my perspective on the recent accusations against our server owner, Jouaram. It has come to my attention that Akuma, a fellow player, has accused Jouaram of Bitcoin mining with a building sign. I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of those who believe these claims are entirely unfounded. First and foremost, let's take a closer look at the supposed "evidence" Akuma has presented. While it's essential to consider all reports seriously, this particular case raises significant doubts. The video clip in question appears to be a masterfully crafted CGI creation, skillfully produced to mimic in-game footage. Our server has always been a hub for creative individuals, and we've witnessed some fantastic content from our community members. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that Akuma used his skills to craft a deceptive video with the sole intent of casting doubt on Jouaram's integrity. Jouaram, as the owner of our beloved server, has tirelessly worked to provide us with a fun and fair gaming environment. He's been a dedicated member of our community, and his actions have consistently reflected his commitment to maintaining a balanced and enjoyable server for all players. I implore our community and server administrators to carry out a thorough and unbiased investigation into these allegations. I have complete confidence that a closer examination will reveal the falseness of these accusations and exonerate Jouaram completely. Jouaram has my full support and cooperation in this matter, and I believe it is imperative that we clear his name and reaffirm our trust in his leadership. Friends, A month and a half ago I rejoined Aether and I have had an absolute blast playing with all of you. Coming back was one of the best decisions that I made in my life. Being able to connect with old friends, as well as meeting new ones along the way, I am glad to be a part of this community, as well as the staff team. However, I have been given a big opportunity to become an Assistant Manager basically becoming my GM’s right hand. With this, my 40 hour work weeks will turn into 50 hours very soon. Along with my promotion, I will be moving out of my parents house very soon and moving into an apartment with a friend of mine, and balancing staffing with friends, family, work, etc. is going to be very difficult for me. For this reason, I’ll be stepping down from the staff team and I will be leaving Aether for an undisclosed amount of time. I wish I could tell you when I’ll fully be back but I don’t currently have an answer. My training begins soon and I’ve really gotta start focusing more on my IRL ventures, but I promise that I will be back. Thank you for all of the great times, late nights, early mornings you all have given me. I will sincerely miss all of you as I go on this long hiatus, and I hope to keep you all updated on how life is going. With me being fresh out of high school I’ve got alot on my plate that I need to finish up, and the second I can find out how to balance everything I will be back. +/- From what I have seen you are pretty cool, I've never had any issues with you, but I don't know if I feel comfortable giving you a +1 as I don't know much about you, and considering that you've just come back to the server, but if your activity keeps up and I see you more and get to know you, I could change my answer.

In the case of Thog v Jouaram, the Jury has come to a 6-0 agreement, Thog is not guilty of threats in Jouarams DM's, Jouaram will be required to pay the defendant 500m AB for damages to character and defamation. He will also be required to give up the server during a 10 years in maximum confinement prison off the coast of Tanzania. All debts are to be paid before August 7th of 2023, failure to do so will result in eternal damnation.

Watching you fail the easiest jumps in Fangs death run event, I thought to myself, man this guy is an idiot! But now that I've talked to you more and I have had time to really learn about you, I realized I was right. On a serious note, you're a great dude and I'm glad to see this. Things I have noticed with the lightning staff is it is impossible to hit someone with a smaller than normal/larger than normal model in most cases, and I have also had the same issue with no hitmarkers on the antlion and combine boss, probably broken : (

Are you certain you will be able to staff for 5 hours a week and finish at least 50 sits every 2 weeks?: Lightwork DarkRP Rule Questions Raids can last how long?: Raids can last for 10 minutes, this timer begins after initiating a raid using /advert clearing stating what the intent of the advert is. If a player in your party dies whilst raiding, how long do they have to wait to come back and raid the same base again?: When a raid is finished, or if it is a failed raid a 30-minute timer begins for that same base, once this 30-minute timer finishes, you are allowed to initiate another raid on said base. What initiates a raid?: Using /advert and clearing stating what the advert is for, in this case, raiding, the most common way is /advert RAID or /advert PD RAID but there are many different ways that you can advert that you are raiding, and in some cases, you must specify, such as a PD Raid or a Bank Raid. If no raiding tool is being used can the player steal the item from a base without an advert?: If you somehow have a clear shot of somebodies raidables, no locked doors that must be pick locked, no fading doors, etc., etc. then you may steal the items from the base with no advert, but if you come across a door that is locked and you must lock pick it, you must advert that you have begun raiding. Give an example of a valid raid advert (type it as you'd type it in-game): /advert RAID or /advert PD Raid, /advert ILLEGALS DETECTED | RAID, /advert BANK RAID these are all valid forms of raiding. If the owner of the base is standing outside on their base entrances sidewalk as you're about to raid but haven't announced a raid yet, can you kill them?: If the player has not harmed you in any way you are not allowed to kill them if you do not advert raid, this could confuse people as if you do not advert raid, the player will simply assume that they were RDM’d which will simply ruin people's time. If you get arrested mid-raid can you return after your arrest?: For this situation to occur a P.D. member must have come into the raid that you were involved in, if you are killed by P.D. or arrested your 30-minute timer begins and you must wait out this time before you begin the next raid. If you get RDM'd are you allowed to kill the RDMer back without repercussions?: Raging on a player who RDM’d you is only going to cause a bigger issue, staff are there to help players who are being affected negatively by rule breakers, so in this case, this is what on other servers is called Revenge RDM, I don’t believe I’ve seen it warned to somebody on Aether, but if both players continue to cause issues with each other, both can rightfully be punished, and in some cases the first RDM could've been a misunderstanding completely accidental, and if you continue to then RDM this player, you could get a heavier punishment so in all cases it is best to just call a staff member. A player punches somebody unprovoked and runs away, the player who got punched calls a sit - what punishment would you give the instigator?: The punishment given will be determined by multiple factors, their past warns, how much damage was done, was the player killed? Did the player antagonize them to make this happen? Each punishment must be investigated, but for simplicity's sake let's say it is a newer player with no warns, not every single sit has to end with a punishment, there are genuinely some players who have not read all of the rules, and so if I don’t believe that they will cause other issues I won’t bother to give them a warning, rather explain the do’s and don’ts and guide them on the server. Sits are not meant to immediately persecute a player, each one is different and takes thought to make a decision. I would then make sure I keep a close watch on the player, making sure that there are no other follow-up issues, if so, another sit can be called and the player can be punished accordingly. List all default Laws of The Land: Raiding and stealing is illegal All raidables that are detected with a scanner are illegal Harming/Killing players is illegal unless you are defending your base from the inside. Laws may be enforced with KOS if a player is wanted How many bases can you own per party?: You may have 1 regular base (A base usually filled with raidables and other goodies) and 1 RP Only base (Usually a build that is used to make a funny roleplay situation) A player is refusing to cooperate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: A player who is refusing to cooperate can be dealt with in many ways, if the player is mic-spamming I can mute and gag them, I can freeze them and I can explain the punishment then, as well as put a harsher punishment on them for doing so. The important thing to note is, most players who aren’t cooperating only want to get a rise out of you and make you look stupid for getting mad, simply by staying calm and doing what I would regularly do, just adding extra steps so that I can explain to them why they are being punished. Can you punish a player for intentionally ruining others' time, even if they say it's out of fun?: Even if a player is having fun by ruining other people’s time, you can still punish them. All players deserve to have a fun experience on the server and should not have to feel like they aren’t having fun because somebody is ruining it for them. Sometimes, they may not realize and so I would just have a chat with the player, asking them to please stop or else I will have to follow up with a punishment, if I get them there everything can run smoothly, but if they continue to ruin other peoples fun, a punishment will be given accordingly. Give an example of a Staff abusing their powers and how you would handle it: Staff abusing power can be giving themselves invincibility and raiding, flying into peoples bases, and in some extreme cases false banning, I would first approach the staff member and just ask if they meant to do this or if something happened, such as a staff member may have forgotten they were invincible because someone was RDM’ing so to get a hold of them, they made themselves invincible and forgot to turn it off. But if it is just blatant staff abuse, I would get as much evidence as I could, watching them and recording as much as possible. I would then send this to a higher-up to have it reviewed and taken care of by them as it is not in my expertise to deal with such things. A player is excessively RDMing, how would you intervene/stop them from continuing and what punishment would you give?: Excessive RDMing is what we would call Mass RDM, which is a heavier punishment on a first offense. It is 3 days, and only begins to climb as more offenses get put on. I would freeze the player, and bring them away from the crowd, letting them still know what their punishment is, because they still deserve to know why they are being punished and for how long, and then I would submit the ban after making sure that they were in fact MRDMING. A Mayor enabled a lockdown without reason and is refusing to turn it off, how do you resolve this?: I would go to them and ask them why there is a lockdown and ask if they can please advertise a legitimate reason. If they refuse, I will demote them (If I have no access to demote I guess I’ll have to blow the mayor's head off) but either way, I would make sure that they get kicked off the mayor job and warned accordingly, in this situation most likely FailRP/Job Abuse. Extra Comments: I have only recently gotten back into playing GMod (As shown by my playtime), but this is probably the most fun I have had for a very long time. I love the community that Aether has built and I’d like to involve myself as a staff member, and I don’t intend on disappearing once again, I’m here for a while. (Right before I'm about to post this I tried to sell my bitcoin in-game but it looks like my base got raided while I was gone but somehow the raiders didn't see me. Sorry Freakstage <3)

This will most likely mark my 50th Introduction here, but I guess that's fine. I got locked out of my old account because Jouaram is a big stinky poo of course. But no I guess logging in with steam is broken, and so I haven't been here in awhile. So for now (Or for forever and however long I'm here for) I'll just be on this account lurking on the forums, and maybe hopping in-game a few times. I really fell off of G-Mod in mid 2020, and attempted many times to fall back into it, but I just couldn't find the same drive that I had originally. With that said, this isn't really a "Coming Back" but mostly a, I'm still here, I still exist and I'll just be watching how everything goes with the server I guess. Being here since day one of release, it has grown by tenfold and it has had a few growing pains along the way, but I'm glad that Jouaram pulled through and was able to build something great again.
