Non of the staff here will hold a grudge against you if you point out mistakes we make, so feel free to let staff / higher-ups / jouaram know of any issues you have or any complaints you hold.3 points

ACCEPTED You have massively helped out random players by providing bases, you interact with a lot of people consistently & you are kind/mature which is a perfect fit for Staff on Aether. Let's see what you can do, good luck! Your assigned Mentor is: @Monika YOU ARE REQUIRED TO FINISH A TRAINING SESSION WITH YOUR MENTOR BEFORE TAKING SITS, IF YOUR MENTOR DOES NOT REACH OUT TO YOU OFFERING THIS SESSION REPORT IT TO ME IMMEDIATELY SO I CAN GET IT SET UP. Keep an eye out for a ping in #rookie-barracks on Discord for further information. Staff Handbook Link T-Mod Initiation Sheet (MUST READ)2 points

It's not about pissing anyone off, or calling anyone out. If there are situations in which you don't agree with what staff is doing, theres nothing ever wrong with making a report, or just asking about it. The first time I had a run in with a staff member, and I didn't agree with the way they handled things, I reported it immediately, and questioned it completely, and it got sorted out and handled almost instantly. We're all here to game, have fun, and be degenerates, but at the same time, there are rules, and staffing for a reason. Stuff gets chaotic very quickly, or people blatantly rule break all the time. If there is something i've learned, is if you have a problem with it, or you feel uncomfortable, or something isn't adding up to you, question it. Aether is your home to so make yourself comfortable however you can. The staff here are mostly respectful, very kind people when it comes to dealing with genuine issues people are having. So don't feel bad for calling out situations you feel need to be called, they will own up to/explain situations to help better you understand. ALSO (just because I KNOW this is a thing)... Alot of people just simply don't report stuff that's "breaking the rules", whether it's chaos amongst friends, or blatant rule breaking, some people just carry on. IMO It's just part of the GMOD environment, either ignore and carry on or report and carry on. Either way rule breaking will happen effortlessly. be the change you want to see!2 points

RP Only/Building signs can be accompanied with a KOS sign, but must of course follow the KOS sign rules as usual. Whoever told you you cannot was misinformed or misspoke. I was the one who asked you to remove it due to being excessive and at the time you refused so I removed it for you. Surprisingly I have a clip of this: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/kw9WrWDKE9xgurcmC?invite=cr-MSxFNmgsMjc5NTQwNzE2 Admittedly I was short with you in this clip and I should've taken you aside to explain to you why I removed it, and I sincerely apologize for that. To be clear, the material was hard on the eyes, it took up a lot of space in the tunnels which made certain mobility sweps hard to use, and spanning each region of the map is quite excessive when the width of the bridge is so large. To be clear, Bee is not allowed to do this and is constantly told to remove these props and has several warns for prop abuse/minge/etc. If I'm thinking of the same thing you're referring to Froggy made a dwarf tunnel that was a very similar principle to your bridge except it was a small pipe higher up in the air that I would consider to be rather unobstructive. It also used the wireframe material so it wasn't hard on the eyes. The only thing I can think of is that technically "ARDM" isn't it's own rule as it falls into the umbrella of RDM. Eitherway if you reported a staff member they should've directed you to the forums if you wished to follow through with report. Did that ever happen, if you recall? For a very long time this was not allowed for non-ownable doors and you could only place them adjacent to world ownable doors. This change was made about 2 weeks ago on 2025-06-03. I'm sorry that you're hearing varying things. If you ever feel a staff member made a mistake (or are unsure) definitely bring it to staff/Jouaram's attention and or make an report/appeal on the forums so that it can be properly investigated. I hope my responses are able to clear some things up for you and again I apologize for how I handled your rainbow bridge dupe at the time, Stony.2 points

There are rules that aren't dealt with as often and sometimes newer staff have their own understanding of these rules, and unfortunately there are times where these go unchecked until situations like this. I think if there are enough topics to go over then a mandatory staff meeting could be very beneficial just to air out all of the small/subtle rule changes that the less active staff may have missed or maybe misunderstood, especially since the current staff team has proven to be invested and open to being corrected.2 points

Every Staff has been open to learn & be critiqued if it is valid so anytime something happens you don't agree with or feel was unfair you can always either report it on the Forums, or if you want it less public then you can DM me no problem2 points

Hell yeah! Same! Application is great, I haven't had any issues with you and you get along with the community. You haven't had any Warnings for about a year and your activity as been steady. With everything said above, I am going to +1 this application.1 point

I completely understand where you're coming from. I want to sincerely apologize for anything I've said that came off as out of place. I take this seriously and can confidently promise that going forward, I'll be much more mindful of what I say, especially in public spaces. It won’t be an issue again. Thank you for your feedback ❤️1 point

Basically what Vetes said so I won't go too much further in depth since that was my main issue with you. You are a nice guy and a genuine player, but some of the things you say should not be relegated to OOC. As a player that is one thing; as someone who wants to be staff? You would represent Aether if you took on the responsibility as staff. Gotta know, as Vetes said, time and place. I am +/-, willing to swap to a full +1 if you can mellow on on some of the odd things you say in chat while your application is up.1 point

Solid application. I personally haven't really had any meaningful interactions with you but I've seen positive interactions between you and others and it seems like you get along with the community. It seems like you like to joke around, which is absolutely fine, but I hope you understand there's time and a place especially as a potential staff member. Your in-game activity is great, and you seem to at least have some interactions within the Discord, however your forums activity is lacking. +/- leaning towards +1 Good luck!1 point

+1 I find you helping out some people and its good to see and ur app is pretty good well detailed. No past warns I think you could make a good staff for aether1 point

+1 Clean and to the point application. I have seen you on the server regularly over a good length of time, and have also interacted with you a decent amount. Your slate is very clean in terms of recent warns. Good luck.1 point

Vetes basically said what I wanted to say. Definitely touch up on your knowledge of the rules. I have interacted with you quite a lot and you are a very nice person. You do a lot of builds for the community as well so people have a base to start off with, or to use if they aren't feeling like making something themselves. I do think you'd do well as staff, but definitely brush up on the rules. +/-, leaning closer to +11 point

Honest opinion I think he can do it, hope one day I can be a team with this dude. I feel the same way he feels about the night time admin.. Sometimes it's hard to play and have a good time at night, can't forget about the night time players. I have some questions about the rules still that has to do with building etc so I'm kinda in the same boat with not being 100% on some of the more complex questions that might be thrown at me so I'm gonna have to say + on my end.1 point
-
Neutral from me I see you on frequently, and I think it's really cool that you make+post bases for people to use. I do believe that you've improved your attitude and have had no issues lately with toxicity in OOC from what I've seen. However, you do have at least one somewhat recent warn, and as others mentioned, your rule knowledge could be touched up on. A solid understanding of the rules is necessary if you wish to enforce them. Nothing is really a glaring issue here, and I believe it all listed concerns can be worked on very easily. Good luck.1 point

Your activity on Aether is great, I've seen you around quite often and it seems like people get along with you. It does however look like you should brush up on your rule knowledge as your answers are rather slim and your answer of NLR is incorrect. Not adverting raid is a fail raid, not an example of NLR. Overall my opinion is +/-. If you remain active and improve your rule answers I'll consider changing my opinion to +1 Good luck!1 point

+1 ive interacted with you a lot and you’re a great person to the community. You are a very calm person and a very helpful one at that . I would love to see you apart of the staff team1 point

So this is just something I've noticed in the server from the time I've been a new player. I don't want to call anyone out or try to piss anyone off.. This isn't that type of post. Just an observation... This is not a complaint or anything like that. Most of it isn't even a big deal but I could see it adding up to be a bigger problem... I've noticed there's different sets of rules for different players. Why do we have different admins saying different rules? I've noticed some admins will tell me I can't do this or that but then notice them doing things they've told me not to do while they are in roleplay and not being active staff...Hell it may not even be intentional...I just feel the staff should be more on the same page... This can get really confusing when you have a person with authority because new players might think it's okay watching an admin doing it then turn around and get a warn for the same thing they've seen that authority figure doing... Can this not have a bad impact on the server in the long run? Again this isn't a complaint... Just looking out for the health of the server... Then again maybe nobody really cares so it's not a problem? What does everyone else think?1 point

I want to thank all the admins for being open to discussion. Most servers you go in most will take nothing serious. I've literally had admin sits on other servers where you go into admin box and just hear a bunch of animal noises from the admins LMFAO (true story)1 point

I would recommend what Jman said. If you have the proof of this, please do share it. I speak for all of us on the team, we want to know if are messing up. We are human. We fuck up and misinterpret things. You reporting a staff member for a mistake isnt going to annoy any of us or get us in trouble if its just a small misunderstanding. We want to ensure we are fair in our judgement of the rules we're trained to enforce. As Jman said if you don't want to make it public here, feel free to DM him.1 point

I could possibly see this being different depending on what the build is, is it blocking anything and what time of the day is it usually at night it's much more lenient with stuff that is 'crazy' in terms of builds & things1 point
-
If thats the case thats not really enforcing differently thats just an admin enforcing the completely wrong rules, if I may ask are they still on the staff team currently?1 point

As a player on the server I have seen this and have had this happen to me like an example I built a rainbow road and a tmod being watched over by their mentor had me fix my rainbow road so it was the way they said it should be then I had another staff member the next day removing it saying large props with the rainbow material for rainbow road isn't ok but Bee can spawn giant props that lowers fps or they said it can't go through all of downtown then I see Froggy building something that went through all of downtown and then I was told I couldn't use a gap in someones base to kill them n it was a fail raid when i never even called raid since i didn't have to and Jman said himself that its not my fault if their base is designed like that i didn't make it and I reported a staff member for ARDM got told its not a rule now it is a rule this is the issues that he is talking about n thats not everything like I saw others having a kos line past their front door so i put one up and got told that it isn't aloud I feel like y'all should have someone like Perc or Sespo rank or higher aka Jman since they r the highest rank before owner rank to go through with staff and make sure they know the rules and test them on the rules to make sure n if they fail they go down a rank or something until they can prove they do know the rules ngl if u look at my warns I have a few for mrdm that is the reason why because i get told one thing then another and when i do what I'm suppose to I get told basically oh well you should know the rules better but how when staff are being wishy washy on em and I have seen multiple people talk about how staff are not on the same page for rules in the chat of dark rp also when i first joined back I had a player talk to me about how staff isn't on the same page and they gave me all their stuff in unbox aka they quit the server due to this1 point

I never introduced myself. Im quigs. This server is my first time ever experiencing anything Garrys Mod related (even the game itself), I was invited by a long time friend of 10+ years to come play, and just wanted to say thanks for making me feel welcomed and allowing me to have a great time! I take every RDM and Raid with an grain of love and gratitude. I make Youtube videos (try to), I play Runescape aggressively too much, and half the time I don't even really know whats going on, Cliche but, I'm just trying to live my best life and make cool memories along the way. I usually have a Tip jar lying around... it's usually in the worlds best interest if we leave money in there any time we cross it, just to stay on the good side of things yknow? Not a threat, just another natural world order is all ❤️ Hope you've all enjoyed my company so far! (the tip jar thing is important)1 point
