DarkRP General Questions

  • How can you contribute to Aether?: I will try my best to make sure everyone has a great time on the server, with no issues, relating to trolls, and rulebreakers!
  • Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible? (Yes/No): Yes
  • Are you willing to listen to any Staff member guide you as a Staff, even if you feel you don't need to? (Yes/No):  Yes
  • Are you certain you will be able to staff for several hours a week? (Yes/No): Yes

DarkRP Rule Questions

  • Raids can last how long?: Up to 10 minutes, no longer.
  • What initiates a raid?: A raid can be initiated via a advert in chat (it must say raid before
  • If the owner of the base is standing outside as you're about to raid, can you kill them?: Yes, it is their base after all!
  • List 3 default Laws of The Land: 1. Do not harm other citizens unless it is in self defense. 2. Do not steal or break into peoples homes. 3. Money printers/drugs are illegal.
  • How many bases can you own per party?: Only one.
  • A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: It depends on how they are reacting, If they are spamming in chat during the sit, then mute, if its micspam then mute their vc, and if its just overall being hostile (killing, running away) I would either freeze them, strip their weapons, freeze using phys, or jail them, and if they simpily just disconnect it normally results in a ban (consisting of 1-4 hours on first offence)
  • You see another staff member abusing their power (Give an example of a staff abusing and how you would handle it/who you would contact)If I were to see DEVGRU abusing his tmod rank, I would post a staff complaint on the aether network website with valid evidence, and I would also tell any higher ups or Jouaram (if it is serious)
  • A player is excessively RDMing/RDAing and breaking NLR (What is RDM/RDA and NLR? How do you determine if a player is breaking any of these?):  If someone is RDMing, RDM is what you use to describe someone on DarkRP who is killing other players for no reason, the first obvious sign is people posting using @ {text} in chat. Another sign would be the player excessively killing for no reason(in public or in killfeed), The last sign I would look for is the kill logs, if I see that nobody shot him, causing him to kill, then I would look for how many people he has killed so far( it is RDMx1 for each player he has killed).NLR, the lesser known is short for new life rule.  The whole point of NLR is and as follows; If you die you cannot return to the area you have died or interact with the person who killed you, unless they hit, shoot, or fight you. This is fairly easy to figure out, I would look in logs, or killfeed to see if someone dies at the hands of someone, then they die to the person they just killed, finding where they were is a bit more difficult because I would need to find where they died, and approximate the range in which it's considered NLR (I normally go off of vc distance). With that people will also not really make complaints too much but if someone makes one then you normally would do all of the other steps, to confirm it. RDA, is just when someone randomly arrests someone else for no reason, this one, being the easiest to find would just be to look for people getting arrested in quick succession, I would also look for (like all of the others) for any complaints  via @ {text}

Extra Comments: I spent at least 3 hours on this so I hope it's good 🙂

+VERY active

+Persisted for over a month now with multiple applications

+From what I've seen, I think you genuinely want to help

-Some answers are wrong

-You can struggle sometimes with the rules.

I would support you joining the staff team as a Trial Moderator as I think you have earned the chance at a trial period. You will be watched closely by other staff, so considering your personality is staff material, I think with some mentoring / learning you could be good.

I've had no problems with you. While you can be a little bit mingy at times you are fast to right your wrongs. The answers are questionable and I don't know how that would've taken you three hours. If it did that's kinda worrisome.

In conclusion I think you'll do a good job after you get shown the ropes and guided for the first half of being a T-Mod. +1

I agree with Dildozer here on the rules aspect, the rules you should get a little better with before you become trial mod. I like you a lot from playing with you in game.

Accepted

You really have persisted and tried to get staff 4 times now, you have become known in the Community (as baby man) and stayed active, loyal and a good player.

I think with a bit of a push/guidance you can become a good staff member.

Be sure to read the Handbook fully, update yourself on the rules.

You will be notified in the Rookie Barracks channel on Discord with further instructions. Welcome to the team!
