General Questions

• How can you contribute to Aether?: Back in the day prior to covid, I used to be staff in a server called Egg's Gmod Server (Yeah it's crazy that my name has an egg in it too!). It's sadly shutdown however I have a lot of experience staffing in that server. I have a fair understanding of ULX commands. I'm aware this server uses SAM but I think the ULX and SAM are related and I could easily understand the commands used with SAM.
• Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible?: Yes, I believe I am able to.
• Are you willing to listen to any Staff member guide you as a Staff, even if you feel you don't need to?: Yes
• Are you certain you will be able to staff for 5 hours a week and finish 15 sits each week?: Yes

DarkRP Rule Questions

• Raids can last how long?: Players are able to raid for 10 minutes. The time starts when the player adverts raid. The timer ends when said player adverts over.
• If a player in your party dies whilst raiding, how long do they have to wait to come back and raid the same base again?: That party member has 30 minutes before being able to raid again. 
• What initiates a raid?: You initiate a raid by typing in chat "/advert Raid". If you're raiding Pd/Bank, you need to change the text to whichever you are raiding. Ex." /advert Pd Raid" or "/advert Bank Raid". If u get into Pd or the bank without the need of a raid tool. Pressing e on the Pd vault/Bank vault also auto adverts raid for you.
• If no raiding tool is being used can the player steal the item from a base without an advert?: The player is allowed to steal the item from the base without an advert, as long as that player is a job that is allowed to steal. You can also steal from on the streets or a roof without adverting.
• Give an example of a valid raid advert (type it as you'd type it in-game): When you are a job that is allowed to raid. You advert by saying in chat "/advert Raid". If you are assisting another player in raiding, all you need to do is "/advert Raid". Otherwise anything else excluding "/advert Bank Raid" and "/advert PD Raid" is not a valid raid advert.
• If the owner of the base is standing outside on their base entrances sidewalk as you're about to raid but haven't announced a raid yet, can you kill them?: This depends on where the owner is standing. You can only kill the owner of the base and other members of that base as soon you advert raid and if they are within microphone distance of the base's entrance or inside the base.
• If you get arrested mid-raid can you return after your arrest?: You are not allowed to return. When you get arrested mid-raid you should advert "over" since you are no longer raiding. This means you cannot re-raid the base until 30 minutes has passed.
• If you get RDM'd are you allowed to kill the RDMer back without repercussions?: No. Although most players do spend their time killing whoever killed them. You should not be killing them. You should instead call an admin using the call admin prefix (Shift+2)
• A player punches somebody unprovoked and runs away, the player who got punched calls a sit - what punishment would you give the instigator?: I would give the instigator a warning for RDM. Punching players for no reason is considered RDM. If the player continues to punch players I will have to give them another RDM warning with NiTRP followed by a 10 min jail.
• List all default Laws of The Land: Raiding and stealing is illegal. Entities detected by the contraband scanner are illegal. Harming players is illegal unless you are inside your base. Laws can be enforced with KOS if the player is wanted.
• How many bases can you own per party?: You are allowed to own 2 bases total. 1 raidable base and another base for RP.
• A player is refusing to co-operate with you in a staff sit, how do you handle the non-cooperative player?: Well if you're in the situation where the player is constantly running from a sit. You can freeze the player in order for them to stay. If the player is trying to kill whoever is in the sit. You can once again freeze the player.
• Can you punish a player for intentionally ruining others time, even if they say it's out of fun?: Yes you can. Ruining other players time is considered NiTRP. This could also be considered harassment. Which is something we simply do not support in Aether.
• Give an example of a Staff abusing their powers and how you would handle it: An example of this is when a Staff member is freezing players wrongly, and no-clipping without the intent of doing something staff related. I would handle this situation getting a clip or recording of the situation and sent to an higher up.
• A player is excessively RDMing, how would you intervene/stop them from continuing and what punishment would you give?: If a player is Mass RDMing I would tp them to a secluded place such as Admin Land. Depending on prior warns I would ban the player accordingly.
• A Mayor enabled a lockdown without reason and is refusing to turn it off, how do you resolve this?: I would tp to the current mayor and tell them you are not allowed to enable lockdown without a valid reason. If the mayor refuses to lift lockdown I would warn the player for Job Abuse after that I would demote the player.

Raids automatically end once the raider either dies / respawns or leaves microphone distance of the entrance to the base, "over" is not a required advert.


Your application looks pretty decent, coupled with obvious knowledge on how some aspects of Staffing work. I have interacted with you in-game many different times, and I cannot recall any negative interactions.

I've interacted with you a few times, be it through factions PvP or helping you with base problems. Neither of those were bad interactions as all. You are a fairly chipper guy who just wants to play the game, have fun, and help others from what I've also seen. Donnie pointed out the only issue I saw in your app, so no concerns there.
